If we are able to plan a pregnancy and prep the body beforehand, we want to focus on things like nutrients, progesterone production, and gut health 🦠 In today’s post we are going to be talking about why you need to support your gut before trying to conceive (TTC).
⭐️ WHY GUT HEALTH MATTERS WHEN TTC: Baby gets their “starter pack” of gut bacteria from mama during vaginal birth which plays a big role in baby’s health!
3 things I do with many of my private clients in pregnancy prep work:
1️⃣ We do a gut test to see what strains of probiotics are most needed and supplement accordingly
2️⃣ We do a gentle gut cleanse to ensure there are no fungal overgrowths, bacterial imbalances, or parasites hanging around
3️⃣ We focus on lots of prebiotic and probiotic foods such as broth, cruciferous veggies, and collagen

**This is absolutely no shame towards my mama’s who didn’t plan their pregnancies or who have had c-sections (or will!) – all mama’s are badasses! This is just one way we can support the system and baby if/ when we’re planning to conceive and can also serve as a reminder to support baby’s gut health in other ways if you did have a c-section!
The takeaway here is to always support your gut before TTC! If you have any questions, join the Facebook group above and ask away!
