I am a Holistic Health Practitioner, energy healer, podcaster, Atlanta local, period expert, sexual health educator, and so much more.
Sick and tired of PMS headaches? I worked with a client who described her periods as really heavy and she was concerned about the blood loss and clots. I asked her if she was noticing any other period problems and she listed cramps and fatigue.
I will often pull out a very LONG list of potential period problems when working with clients to make sure that we have a full picture of what’s going on. As soon as I listed out “headaches”, she said “Oh my god YES. They’re SO bad right before my period that I can’t even get out of bed.” 🤯

Identifying this told us *so* much more about what was happening in her cycle and gave us even more direction to help her address the root cause.

PMS headaches are disregarded because headaches are so common, but they can be really crippling and no one deserves to have to deal with that shit. 👏🏼
They can be caused by a number of things such as:
⚡️ Low blood sugar (due to underrating or malabsorption)
⚡️ The drop in hormones prior to menstruation
⚡️ Stress
⚡️ Poor gut health
+ more
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And can trigger other symptoms like:
⚡️ Loss of appetite
⚡️ Feelings of depression/ anxiety
⚡️ Food cravings
⚡️ Fatigue
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Some short term relief solutions may include:
⭐️ Avoiding certain foods that may trigger headaches such as sugar, caffeine, and alcohol
⭐️ Cannabis products
⭐️ Looking into supplements/ herbs such as magnesium, omega-3’s, and feverfew
⭐️ Reducing stress
⭐️ Sleeping enough – Listen to Episode 20 of Get Cliterate for more on this!
