i'm calee shea

get to know me

I am a Holistic Health Practitioner, energy healer, podcaster, Atlanta local, period expert, sexual health educator, and so much more.

But really, who am I?

Well put your feet up and stay a while as I fill you in on the longer, less professional version:

I’m a cat mom to two terrible (yet adorable) Bengals and a dog mom to a sweet, nervous rescue pup. I’m a fiancé to the funniest man I’ve ever met. I am a lover of dessert and soup (eaten separately), gut health obsessed, and have been told on several occasions that I have a sailor’s mouth. I value vulnerability and authenticity over everything. My fiancé says the best thing about me is that I tell it like it is, which coincidentally he also says is the worst thing about me. I’ll take it. I love to cook but I will also always choose takeout Thai over any other meal. I am an avid reader, a crystal collector, and quite the matcha connoisseur.

My journey with health and wellness began as a child, with a suppressed immune system, eczema, and food allergies.

All of that felt manageable (and in all honesty, I didn’t take it seriously) until 2015, after about 4 months on hormonal birth control that sent my body into a tailspin. My skin was so covered in acne, rosacea, and a rash, that I could barely touch it without it literally breaking open. I have always been sensitive to foods and chemicals, but this was on a whole different level that I had ever experienced. I had to totally revamp my diet, ditch all of the chemicals I was using on my body and in my home, and then allow myself time to heal. But that was just the beginning of my healing journey.

I had lyme disease, painful periods, rashes, breakouts, inflammation, candida overgrowth, and leaky gut.

Over the next 3 years I had to learn how to manage my stress and figure out how to exercise in a way that was suitable for my body.

I found out that I am part of the large group of women that have a liver gene mutation that makes detoxing difficult and I was diagnosed celiac.

And let’s not forget the emotional and mental struggles that also go along with health issues. Needless to say, I tried every healing modality that I could get my hands on. For a span of time, I felt like a mad scientist and my body felt like my greatest experiment.

Mind you, it took me quite a long time and a lot of mindfulness work to find the gratitude in this process, but I’m so incredibly grateful for my journey.

My experiences with acne, hormone imbalances, low confidence, and poor gut health led me to my passion for women’s hormones and sexual health.

Because it feels really fucking sexy to be empowered with the knowledge about your own body.

My philosophy is that taking care of your body isn’t just about food and exercise, it is also about how and with whom you are living your life.

it is about experiencing joy and the support you are getting along the way. it is about your confidence, your connection with your feminine, the way you speak to your body, and the belief and deep knowing that you deserve to feel good in your body.

i was inspired to delve into holistic health and specialize in periods so that i could help other women overcome the same challenges i was faced with.

I guide my clients through work that results in symptomless cycles and a partnership with their bodies.
