This is a hormone happy breakfast quiche that isn’t just EASY AF to make, but balanced with combination of nutrients to keep you full, energized and your hormones happy.
I have been asked for yeaaars to share my hormone-supportive, lazy girl recipes, so here we go!
I don’t know if I love any food as much as I love quiches, so when whipping one up over the weekend I knew I had to share!
This meal is hormone happy and lazy af – aka my dream meal 😍
“Hormone happy” is a concept I use to help clients, and all of YOU, create habits that are supportive to hormone health and symptomless cycles. Doing so – makes our hormones happy!
Hence, hormone happy habits such as how we eat!
The body needs adequate levels of protein, fats, and carbs to stay fueled enough to have a healthy cycle. So, I want you to think of these 4 categories as major pillars of your nutrition when building meals.
Here’s my exact recipe for the quiche that I made, but as outlined in the video of me making this recipe (linked below) you can swap things out!! The key points are the crust, the eggs, and the baking temps + times!
Preheat oven to 400F.
Remove GF pie crust from freezer and packaging and give it 15 minutes to thaw. Once thawed, use a fork to poke holes all throughout the crust. Add parchment paper to cover the bottom and sides and pour dried beans or pie weights into the parchment paper to cover the bottom. Place in oven at 400F for 11 minutes.
While crust is pre-baking, chop 1/2 yellow onion and 1lb of turkey bacon. Sauté over medium heat in 1tbsp of butter, stirring until slightly brown.
In a bowl, combine 4 eggs, 1/2 cup of water, and garlic salt and pepper to taste. Whisk until mixed (not shown in the correct order in the video lol). Add sautéed onions, turkey bacon, greens, and goat cheese. Mix until completely combined.
When timer goes off, remove pie crust and discard parchment paper and beans/ weights (use oven mitts!). Pour egg mixture into the pie crust and place in oven to cook for 35 minutes at 400F.
Cut when cooled and enjoy!
To reheat, I just place slices on an oven-safe dish and warm at 350F for about 15-20 mins.
