This hearty soup is sooo nourishing for hormones AND gut health, PCOS friendly, a solid source of protein and fiber, and a grounding meal that’s perfect for the menstrual phase 🩸
She might not be pretty, but you’ll find me eating this hormone-supportive soup all winter long (is it a soup? or a chili? What’s the difference??)
⏲ TIME: about 20 mins of prep time and 40 mins in the @instantpotofficial (including sautéing) but HOT TIP if you get a mirepoix mix and pre-minced garlic you’ll cut down on 10 mins of prep time
⭐️ INGREDIENTS:
4 celery stalks, chopped
1/2 white onion, diced
4 medium carrots, chopped then halved
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 small pieces of turmeric root, peeled and grated
2 tbsp beef tallow
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp all-purpose seasoning
2 tbsp garlic salt
1lb of ground turkey
2 cups of sprouted lentils
6 cups of turkey broth
Optional: fresh poultry herbs
⭐️ DIRECTIONS:
* On the Instant Pot sauté setting: add in your beef tallow, veggies, all-purpose seasoning, garlic salt
* Sauté veggies until they’ve softened
* Add olive oil and ground turkey
* Once the turkey is completely cooked, add lentils and stir to coat them in oil and seasonings
* Pour 6 cups of turkey broth
* Cook on soup setting for 30 minutes
