I was triggered anytime I saw someone say that you could “lose weight without eating less” or “heal acne without giving up your favorite foods” There was no way in my mind that there was any other solution to my symptoms. Let’s talk about how I feel about weight loss.
The only way to heal was through dieting, restriction, and lots of supplements – and that was a hill I was more than willing to die on
So I kept on doing all of the “right things” and yet still breaking out, dealing with 50+ day cycles, gaining weight, and feeling like absolute shit
And blaming myself because I must not be doing it right
There must be something wrong with me because this should work
Maybe I need to try a different diet
Maybe I just need to stick with this one longer
Maybe I need more supplements
And this was a cycle I went through for years
Completely ignoring cues I was getting from my system and instead hopping on the miracle diet train
