Combatting hair loss is tricky because it requires patience. When it comes to hair loss, our body makes “decisions” that have a bit of a lag time. When something causes us to lose hair – hormonal birth control, stress, nutrient deficiencies, etc – it pushes the hair into a telogen phase, meaning right then and there it has already been predetermined that the hair will fall out roughly 100 days later no matter what.
This is why it is common for SO many women to experience hair loss almost exactly 3 months after getting off of HBC! (if the system isn’t supported well)
When we’re working on combatting hair loss and creating new growth, we’re doing things now that we may not reap the benefits from for a few months – so we want our hair-healthy habits to be things that we can incorporate into the day-to-day and be consistent with!
✨Learning how to manage your stress, looking into a few key supplements, supporting your gut, and upping the nutrients in your diet are things that can support your overall wellbeing, and that also have a direct impact on hair.
