I want you to think of healthy fats as one of the major pillars of your nutrition, because they are structural components of sex hormones.
One study even found that healthy levels of fat reduced chance of anovulation (ovulation not occurring).
Consumptions of high quality, good fats is necessary for having healthy hormones 👏🏼
Examples of good fats:
🥑 Olives/ Olive oil (extra virgin)
🥑 Avocados/ Avocado oil
🥑 Coconut (oil/ butter/ MCT)
🥑 Olive oil
🥑 Fatty fish/ Fish oil
🥑 Animal fat (Lard, Tallow, Poultry fat)
🔑 Key tip: Any animal fat should come from organic, hormone-free, and pasture raised sources – @epicbar is a great source
I shoot for around 👉🏼 2tbsp of fat at every meal, but I encourage you to find what consumption feels good for you based on your carb intake!
