What we eat + the way we feel about it have a direct impact on our hormone health so it is a huge aspect of the work I do with clients.
📌Diet culture has totally warped our ideas of what is “healthy” and many of my clients come to me with beliefs and patterns around food that we purpose to unwind together.
So when I asked one of my clients what her biggest takeaway from our work was I was ECSTATIC when she said, “Eating a certain way shouldn’t come from a lack [or] restricting mindset. I try to avoid dairy now, but that’s not because I have a new “diet” or because it’s “bad.” Rather, I’m listening to my body and letting it tell me what’s optimal for the way I want to feel and what’s not.”
AND THAT’S THE WAY ITS DONE 👏
So what helps my clients get to this point?
🌈 We ditch words like “good” and “bad” around food – There are no “good” and “bad” foods – there may be more nutrient dense foods and less nutrient dense foods and there may be foods that are more supportive to your goals and there may be foods that are less supportive – but ALL of them are welcome in our lives and on our plates under the right circumstances.
🌈 F*ck diets. We don’t do diets around here because they create a scarcity mindset and we are only available for abundance. Ain’t nobody got time for diets. We work to create a connection with your body that helps to make
shifts that are sustainable.
🌈 We practice. Breaking up with shame requires patience and grace. It is a daily practice to shift the way we think, which is why you have me for allll the support.
