I am a Holistic Health Practitioner, energy healer, podcaster, Atlanta local, period expert, sexual health educator, and so much more.
When I met Jake, I had already been practicing FAM for a while but this was allllll new territory to him π€·π»ββοΈ But we had mutual goals around babies and he trusted that I wouldn’t be encouraging something that I thought would put us at risk.
ππΌ He’s a facts guy – he wants to know why it works and how and over time, and after lots of conversations around FAM and the female anatomy, he started to feel comfortable with it.
β¨And now it is no longer a pregnancy prevention method that I practice by myself.
How your partner needs to show up for you around your method of prevention or conception** is something that you get to communicate! π£
βοΈ Communication is the name of the game, and if you don’t express what support you need from your partner and describe what that looks and feels like to you, it makes it damn near impossible for them to meet your needs.
What this currently looks like for us:
π Educating himself – Whenever I share an article, blog post, IG post, whatever it is around FAM with him, he will read it and then we will discuss. He really likes when I share educational resources he can look into on his own and he read allll about the technical side of TempDrop before he would trust it (obviously he approves)
π Knowing where I am in my cycle – He asks and is even pretty good at reading my charts lol
π He doesn’t just leave it up to me and takes mutual responsibility for how we time being intimate
π Reminding me to put my TD on at night – Last words I hear before I go to sleep at night are some variation of “Did you remember to put on your TempDrop? Okay Good. Love You”

*Fertility Awareness Method (FAM) is a symptothermal method to help to identify the fertile window using the body’s biological signs such as cervical fluid and basal body temperature. It is a natural method that is 99.4%+ effective
**We are currently TTA (trying to avoid) but FAM is also an effective tool for those who are TTC (trying to conceive) or charting for health purposes!
