I talk about the big topics of “gut health”, “nutrient deficiencies”, and “hormonal imbalance” when it comes to the impact HBC can impact our systems, but I find it to be really helpful when we put this in the context of day-to-day life, so let’s discuss 3 ways hormonal birth control could be affecting your daily life…
1️⃣ Digestive discomfort – Irregular poops? Pooping too often? Painful poops? 💩 Bloat? Jeans feel so tight after a meal that you *have* to unbutton them? Eating makes you feel like shit but not eating also makes you feel like shit? These are really common frustrations associated with compromised gut health.
2️⃣ Less glowwy and lowered body confidence – Has your hair lost its shine? You skin just feel dull or even breaking out? Do you feel like your workouts aren’t really getting you anywhere? When we’re having trouble absorbing nutrients, it typically shows up in our physical appearance as well.
3️⃣ 0 Interest in sex – As in, don’t touch me… ever. No desire to explore self-pleasure much less be invited to someone else’s pants party. This can impact relationships and/ or the dating scene big time. Based on my clients’ experiences, they share that these feelings create a big disconnect from themselves, their femininity, and lowered body confidence.
If you’ve noticed any of these popping in your daily life, it’s not the end of the world! But it could be a sign to look into your HBC and how it is affecting you!
